Itinerary

On arrival in Cochin you will receive a warm welcome from our representative waiting at the airport. After baggage clearance, you will be transferred to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Soon after a hearty breakfast, you will start off for the best of Kerala tour. You will make the first visit to St. Francis Church in Fort Cochin, well-known for its beautiful architecture and ambience. The church is believed to be one of the oldest churches built in 1503 by Portuguese Franciscan friars later went through many reforms later. It is here Vasco De Gama was buried for 14 years and was transferred to Lisbon. Proceed to visit the nearby Mattancherry Palace or ‘Dutch Palace’ (Closed on Fridays) where you will find beautiful Kerala murals depicting Hindu temple art, portraits and exhibits of the Rajas of Kochi. After this take a stroll by the Vasco-De-Gama Square near the Fort Cochin and here you are bound to come across a number of Chinese fishing nets, suspended in mid-air, alongside the seacoast. These fishing net sare used for a very unique and unusual method of fishing and were introduced by traders from the courts of Kublai Khan. Next you will visit Jew Town where in a corner you will find the Paradesi Synagogue (Closed on Fridays & Saturdays) constructed in 1568 and houses many rare antiques.

After Breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to Munnar (04 Hrs drive). You are transported to the cool climate of Munnar. Being one of the most popular hill stations in India, Munnar is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. Located 1,600 m above sea level, this hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India. Upon arrival you will be transferred to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

After a delightful breakfast at the hotel, you are taken to visit Eravikulam National Park, an ideal place to see the rolling grasslands and sholas, and the endangered mountain goats of South India- the Nilgiri Tahr. Since the entry for private vehicles are restricted here, you will be taken to Rajamalai in forest dept. vehicles and given an opportunity to see all this very close. The National Park is usually closed during the early months of every year at the time of calving of Nilgiri Tahr. As you are dropped at the top station, you can watch a picturesque place with laterite Rocky Mountains and many kinds of rare flora.

In the afternoon visit Mattupetty Dam and the Lake. This hill station is located at a height of 1,700m and 13 km away from Munnar Town. Later proceed to visit the Tata Tea Museum which was opened in 2005 and houses curious, photographs and machineries, each depicting a turning point that contributed to a flourishing tea industry as seen today. A demonstration room for tea tasting is another attraction where one would come across different varieties of tea. Later return for an overnight stay at the hotel.

After Breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to Alleppey (05 Hrs drive). Arrive and check in at Houseboat. Overnight at houseboat.

Today after a hearty breakfast onboard, you will leave the houseboat for Kumarakom. Upon arrival, you are transferred to the hotel. Being part of the Kuttanad region, Kumarakom is a small village with a cluster of little islands on the Vembanad Lake. It is a paradise for bird lover. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel your day is at leisure and can spend the whole day at the beach or optionally we suggest you to try our day trip to Kanyakumari. Nestled cozily at the southern most tip of India where the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal & Indian Ocean meet and on the other side the Western Ghats recline prostrating to this amazing creation by nature. You can take the boat ride to the Vivekananda rock, watch the sun majetically setting into the ocean. Return back to Kovalam for the overnight stay.

After breakfast at hotel, be ready with your baggage to check out the hotel at noon. You are transported to the Trivandrum International Airport to fly back home after having the best time in Kerala.
